Associate Producer/Writer, Outnumbered

Associate Producer/Writer for Outnumbered who researches and crafts stories, writes compelling scripts and banners under deadline pressure, coordinates live shots and guest segments with show producers and anchors, and pitches story ideas. Must have strong scriptwriting skills, impeccable grammar, solid news judgment, deep knowledge of current events and politics, and the ability to manage rapid changes in a fast-paced newsroom. Requires collaboration with field producers and run-down coordination, with proficiency in video/graphics coordination and social media element sourcing; familiarity with iNews, VIZ, and desktop editing is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred or equivalent experience; major market newsroom experience and flexibility to work varying shifts are expected.
