Job Summary
Associate Producer responsible for gathering and organizing video and production elements, collaborating with anchors and graphics teams to deliver studio and remote interview segments, scripting and editing materials, and generating timely, editorially sound content with a conservative lens. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects under deadlines, pitching original segment ideas aligned with editorial direction, tracking breaking news, adapting to shifting priorities in a live television environment, ensuring high editorial standards, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires control room experience, strong writing and editing skills, proficiency with broadcast graphics, and the ability to work on-site in Washington DC.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of national or large market local TV news production experience
- Substantial control room and breaking news experience
- Strong knowledge of current events and politics from a conservative perspective
- Familiarity with creating full-screen graphics for broadcast
- Experience editing with Adobe Premiere or similar platforms
- Basic animation or motion graphics experience
- Excellent writing, editing, and news-gathering abilities
- Ability to research effectively using editorial tools and social media platforms
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to think critically and creatively under pressure
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work full-time on-site in our Washington DC office
- Ability to collect and analyze data and information for accuracy
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, overnights, holidays, and weekends
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
