Job Summary
Produce, script, and edit high‐quality business news videos in collaboration with reporters; support video production through editing and shooting in studio and in the field; operate DSLR and cinema cameras to film short‐ and long‐form content with CNBC talent; collaborate with digital video team to meet tight deadlines; incorporate feedback from senior producers, editors, and stakeholders; stay current on news trends to identify timely video opportunities; ensure editorial accuracy and adherence to CNBC standards; write clear, compelling headlines and descriptions for CNBC.com and other platforms; optimize video content for distribution across horizontal and vertical platforms; travel and non-traditional hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional experience shooting and scripting video for a digital news organization
- Proficiency with cinema cameras and/or DSLR systems (Sony, Canon, Panasonic) and Adobe Premiere
- Script and/or voice-over writing experience
- Strong editorial judgment and ability to craft clear, compelling headlines and descriptions
- Understanding of multimedia storytelling and online publishing systems
- Portfolio or work samples required
- Ability to lift and transport 40 lbs of production equipment
