Associate Produce Buyer - Salt Lake City

Associate Produce Buyer role responsible for turns purchasing of assigned produce items, ensuring PO accuracy and costs, managing inventory, and achieving budgeted service levels and spoilage targets. You will identify and report inventory discrepancies, approve received POs for vendor payment, and coordinate activities with other buyers under supervision. Core duties include writing orders, following purchase cycles, managing product costing, coordinating inbound logistics, communicating changes to vendors, resolving product damage/quality issues, and supporting KPIs such as fill rate, variance management, and contract compliance. The position emphasizes strong attention to food safety, teamwork, and providing administrative support to procurement.
