Job Summary
Associate Procurement Specialist assists Procurement Specialists with administrative procurement tasks, from preparing, routing, and tracking procurement documents (purchase orders, work orders, amendments, agreements, solicitations, addenda, notices) to maintaining procurement records in district systems. Responsibilities include reviewing requests for completeness, coordinating vendor communications, preparing routine procurement correspondence, posting solicitations and addenda, tracking deadlines and milestones, organizing materials for evaluation committee meetings and bid openings, compiling bid tabs and vendor information, and supporting compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, procurement systems, and document management tools; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently within a team environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- an associate degree in business administration, public administration, finance, procurement, contract management, or a related field may substitute for required work experience
