Job Summary
The Associate Procurement Specialist provides administrative support to Procurement Specialists in preparing, routing, tracking, and processing procurement documents such as purchase orders, solicitations, contracts, and notices. It assists with entering and maintaining procurement information in district systems, reviews requests for completeness, maintains procurement files and records, prepares routine procurement correspondence, and helps with posting and tracking solicitation deadlines, vendor communications, bid tabs, and meeting materials. The role supports evaluation committees, compiles vendor information, and tracks milestones, while working collaboratively with Procurement Specialists, Project Managers, Finance, Legal, and other internal departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, email, and document management systems, plus knowledge of public procurement requirements and confidentiality, are important. Starting salary range noted is $43,763.20 - $54,662.40, with benefits and E-Verify participation. Location is Palatka, FL. This position emphasizes administrative procurement tasks under the direction of the Procurement Manager and supports routine procurement activities.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- two years of administrative, clerical, purchasing, contract support, records management, or related experience
- an associate degree in business administration, public administration, finance, procurement, contract management, or a related field may substitute for required work experience
