Job Summary
Design, develop, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes for photolithography, etching, deposition, and ion implantation. Qualify new tools and processes, improve product yield, and maintain quality while reducing manufacturing costs. Collaborate with equipment vendors and internal teams to select, install, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring calibration and maintenance meet high precision standards. Analyze manufacturing data to identify yield improvement areas and defect reduction opportunities. Develop process enhancements for advanced materials and integration processes, including compound semiconductors. Ensure projects execute on time and within budget while complying with industry standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. Monitor industry regulations and adjust processes accordingly. This role supports Bosch's $1.9 billion investment in silicon carbide chips at the Roseville, CA site, with production starting on 200-millimeter wafers in 2026.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Material Engineering, or Physics or the equivalent in education
- 0-2 years of work experience in Semiconductor Process Engineering
- Strong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers to operators
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards, including ISO, SEMI, and ESD
- Proficiency in semiconductor process simulation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
- Travel (including internationally) as needed
- This role will work on site in Roseville, CA
- This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
