Job Summary
Work closely with Investment Counsellors to provide administrative support, manage account onboarding, trade preparation, verification, cash management, and reconciliation, and prepare monthly and quarterly client reporting. Investigate and resolve client, custodian, and advisor issues while troubleshooting complex internal and external queries to prevent potential problems. Help improve client service models and streamline operational procedures, providing team back-up for workflow support and colleague coverage as assigned. Maintain excellent client relationships through accurate, timely reporting and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' related experience in an administrative or financial services role
- University business degree or relevant post-secondary diploma
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of individual investment account types (RRSP, TFSA, Taxable, Corporate, etc.)
- Attention to detail is a must
- All candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Client Relationship Management (e.g. Salesforce) and Trade Order Management (e.g. SimCorp Dimension) software
- Risk management mindset, with a good understanding of internal controls and the Compliance environment
- Demonstrated exceptional client service skills
- Solid knowledge of investment management business and terminology
- Hands-on, self-starter with strong interpersonal and team skills
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to prioritize and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
