Associate, Private Equity Portfolio Strategy

Job Summary
Conduct bespoke financial analysis to support strategic portfolio construction decisions and synthesize large volumes of data into insights for investment pacing and risk allocation. Manage capital management forecasting and allocation across short- and long-term horizons while assisting in building automated tools and dashboards for senior leadership. Research private equity markets and industry trends to inform portfolio construction, then contribute to presentations for committees and the Board covering market views and strategy. Collaborate across the Private Equity department and the broader organization to integrate bottom-up investing with top-down portfolio construction, providing ad hoc analytical support to the Global Senior Managing Director as required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience (e.g., investments, data/analytics, banking, or consulting)
- University degree in a related field
- Understanding of private equity concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual curiosity
- Strong financial modeling skills (i.e., in Excel or Python)
- Ability to manage and interpret large datasets (e.g., SQL)
- Ability to automate analytical processes
- Ability to distill insights into clear recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to deliver high-quality work across competing deadlines
