Job Summary

Conduct due diligence on direct, co-investment, and fund opportunities while building financial models for valuation and return analysis. Prepare investment memos and committee materials, research markets to inform theses, and evaluate deal structuring options. Monitor portfolio company performance, assist with periodic valuations, and model financing alternatives for existing investments. Contribute to research on investment themes and support internal strategic initiatives across legal, tax, and operations. This 18-month contract role offers hands-on exposure to the full investment lifecycle within HCP, the private equity arm of HOOPP, managing over $20 billion in assets.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking or private equity
  • University degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or a quantitative field with strong academic performance
  • Demonstrated strong skills in financial modeling, business analysis, and due diligence
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance financial analysis, data synthesis, and productivity
  • Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex ideas clearly
  • Curious mindset, strong attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
  • High integrity, professionalism, and team orientation
  • This is a full-time contract position (18 months)

Desired Qualifications

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or other data tools
  • Experience with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or other data and analytics platforms
