Job Summary
Lead state-scale program evaluation and public health data modernization engagements, including evaluation design, multi-site architecture, HIE integration, and data governance strategy. Serve as the senior client-facing point of contact, manage standing relationships, and author proposal technical components while identifying organic growth opportunities. Provide technical guidance across the firm, mentor junior and mid-level staff through structured coaching and stretch assignments, and present externally at industry conferences. Identify delivery risks early, contribute to after-action reviews, and participate in practice leadership meetings to shape collective strategy and resourcing.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in applied public health, program evaluation, health data systems, or a closely related field
- At least 4 years in a consulting firm environment
- Minimum of 4 years people management experience
- Minimum 7 years client-facing experience
- 4 or more years in project leadership roles
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff in a professional services or consulting environment
- Track record of managing state-level or large-scope client relationships
- Experience contributing to business development, including proposal writing and client relationship development, at a senior level
- Strong analytical abilities across quantitative and/or qualitative methods
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled facilitator and presenter
- Able to manage competing priorities across multiple engagements and staff
- Familiarity with public health systems and practices at the local and state level
- Understanding of evaluation frameworks, quality improvement tools, performance management, and/or public health data modernization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment

- PhD or equivalent terminal degree
- Experience navigating state government procurement environments and multi-party teaming structures
