Job Summary
Dual-role Technical Project Manager and Technical Pre-Sales Consultant based in Shanghai, focusing on hotel technology ecosystems. Lead full-lifecycle delivery of hotel technology projects (PMS, CRM, Payment, Loyalty) including requirements, architecture, planning, risk management, and acceptance, while also performing technical pre-sales tasks such as client discovery, solution design, proposal development, and bid defense. Collaborate with delivery managers, R&D, and sales to drive standardized hotel software solutions, system integration across PMS/CRM/Payment/Loyalty, and continuous improvement of pre-sales templates and industry use cases.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of working experience in hotel technology industry with dual experience in technical project management and technical pre-sales
- in-depth understanding of hotel core systems including PMS (Opera Cloud/Shiji), CRM, Payment, Loyalty, and related workflows
- Proficiency in hotel core system capabilities (PMS front desk, room status, reservations, settlement, etc.) and guest profile management
- Strong ability to deliver end-to-end project management and pre-sales output (solution design, client communication, bid responses)
- Experience with system integration, API docking, data synchronization between hotel systems
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture, API design, and gateway integration
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and modern development workflows (GitFlow, Trunk-Based)
- Excellent cross-team communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to clients
- Knowledge of hotel industry standards and operating processes, including Opera Cloud/Shiji PMS and Marriott Digital channels
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Management, Hospitality Management or related fields
- PMP or Agile Project Management certifications preferred
- Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) and data management concepts
- Proven ability to design scalable system architectures for hotel technology solutions
- Experience with travel and hotel systems (PMS, CRM, Loyalty, Reservation) as well as pre-sales activities such as RFPs and bid defense
- English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills for international hotel business communication
