Job Summary
Lead JDM partners and internal teams on mechanical design delivery, ensuring requirements are correctly interpreted and integrated throughout development phases. Manage project scope, dependencies, and risks while overseeing build and test evaluations to confirm design maturity and compliance with quality standards. Review change requests and part approvals, driving process improvements for tools and workflows to enhance collaboration and delivery efficiency. This role is based in the Shenzhen office, requiring close engagement with external partners on-site. Candidates must possess strong leadership abilities to influence stakeholders and deliver results on time.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of product development methodology
- Proven ability to scope development work, decompose complex problems into manageable tasks, plan work based on need, and eliminate non-valueadding activities
- Strong knowledge and application of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, and Risk Management in product development
- Established track record of developing robust engineering solutions from concept to market launch
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and assembly techniques for plastic injection molding, metal stamping, die-casting, rubber parts
- Working knowledge of motor and pump
- Capability to challenge tool makers, molders, and assembly suppliers on their technical proposals and drive improvements
- Skill at estimating the cost of various design options and selecting the most cost-effective direction
- Practical knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM systems, and analysis packages
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities using a variety of methodologies
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of influencing others to successfully deliver results on time
- Experience in collaborating with JDM partners, demonstrating resourcefulness and maintaining trust and credibility
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbal, in English and Chinese
