Job Summary
Review detailed physical, civil, and structural design and engineering for electric power substations, generating plants, and industrial facilities. Write and review material, construction, and steel specifications while preparing hand and computer-based calculations for structural designs. Perform field inspection and construction supervision services, checking the work of designers, drafters, and field personnel for quality and accuracy. Assist in creating and enforcing technical standards across the department, preparing documents including cost estimates, budget reports, and proposals. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 7+ years of experience, and a PE license. Full-time role with 15–25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience
- PE licensure
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, modeling, and design software such as SAP2000, PLS-CADD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective written and oral communications skills
- Good interpersonal and people skills
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be able to lift 25lbs

- Civil/structural or mechanical option preferred (for education)
- Experience attending conferences, training workshops, seminars, undergraduate, and graduate classes
