Job Summary
Conduct daily market coverage of EMEA Chemicals markets by researching new areas, assessing prices, and corresponding with significant market participants to gather information and build relationships. Write commentaries explaining price trends, produce news stories, podcasts, and infographics, and represent the company at regional industry events. Launch new price assessments as required to ensure Platts' purpose is understood across the market. This Associate Price Reporter joins the London office team driving coverage for S&P Global Commodity Insights in the European chemicals sector.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of role types and personalities, internally and externally
- Confidence with networking and developing business relationships
- Good numeracy skills including confidence using Excel
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
Desired Qualifications
- A developed interest in commodity markets and/or the chemicals industry
- Fluency in other European languages would be an advantage, particularly Turkish
- Strong public speaking/presentational skills
