Job Summary
Conduct daily market coverage of EMEA Chemicals markets and write commentaries explaining price trends. Research new markets, drive methodology projects, and produce news stories, podcasts, and infographics. Correspond with significant market participants daily to gather information and build relationships. Represent the company at industry events across the region and launch new price assessments as required. Ensure Platts' purpose is understood across the market.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of role types and personalities, internally and externally
- Confidence with networking and developing business relationships
- Good numeracy skills including confidence using Excel
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
Desired Qualifications
- A developed interest in commodity markets and/or the chemicals industry
- Fluency in other European languages would be an advantage, particularly Turkish
- Strong public speaking/presentational skills
