Job Summary
Evaluate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and recapitalizations to support portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions for an $8+ billion national multifamily real estate portfolio. Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, perform valuation analyses, and conduct scenario studies to inform strategic investment choices and executive committee reviews. Collaborate across Asset Management, Acquisitions, Finance, and Research to prepare presentations and analytical materials for senior leadership while improving investment processes through data analytics and automation. Participate in quarterly portfolio reviews and annual business planning to drive long-term value creation.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with complex financial models, large datasets, financial systems, and enterprise databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or another quantitative discipline with a strong academic record
- 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, institutional investment management, corporate finance, strategic finance, real estate investment, or another rigorous analytical environment
- Regular attendance in the Los Angeles office is expected
- Limited travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to institutional real estate investing, alternative investments, or private markets
- Experience supporting investment decisions, capital allocation, portfolio management, or corporate strategy
- Familiarity with business intelligence, visualization, database platforms, or analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar technologies
- Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional designation
- Prior experience with multifamily real estate
