Job Summary
Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion machinery while following established procedures. Assist in production runs by preparing raw materials, loading equipment, and performing routine maintenance and basic adjustments. Operate plastic processing equipment under supervision to ensure machines run efficiently and produce high-quality products. Communicate machinery issues to maintenance, document production and quality data, and conduct basic quality control checks. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and participate in quality assurance activities such as product inspection and testing. Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors to ensure daily operations meet standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 0-2 years of experience
- Basic understanding of plastic manufacturing processes
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery operations
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing setting
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts
