Job Summary
Associate Photo Editor will sit on the editorial team, selecting, editing, and cataloging images across multiple editorial properties; edit images in Photoshop to match brand standards; assist with light graphic design; manage image metadata, rights clearances, and digital asset organization in our MAM system; collaborate with editors, designers, and photo editors to align visuals with content; review photo quality and flag issues; support editors on special projects; uphold high editorial standards for clear, accurate, engaging visuals; requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), proficiency in Photoshop, knowledge of licensing and rights management, strong editorial judgement, attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines, and clear remote collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and across the Adobe suite of tools
- Solid understanding of image licensing, copyright, and rights management basics
- Strong editorial judgement and an eye for great photography
- Meticulous attention to detail in both editorial quality and execution
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing quality
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
