Job Summary
Assist in obtaining and renewing permits, licenses, and approvals for construction, operations, and special events at LA28 venues. Maintain accurate records of permit documentation, track deadlines and submissions, and coordinate with city, county, and state agencies to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards. Prepare reports summarizing permit status and collaborate with venue operations and construction teams to identify permit needs. Monitor regulatory changes and serve as the point of contact for internal teams and external authorities regarding permit inquiries. This role supports the venue infrastructure team in securing regulatory approvals for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3+years of experience in permit management, facilities, or construction administration
- Knowledge of local and state permitting requirements, building codes, and regulatory compliance
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment
- Site visits requiring movement around varying environmental conditions in interior and exterior spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale venue, stadium, or event management projects
- Familiarity with LA municipal permitting processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
