Associate Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, verify insurance information in APM, and schedule appointments while entering charges and collecting payments. Answer phones, take messages, and route calls per company policy, documenting all interactions appropriately. Manage the waiting room, implement efficient customer-friendly processes, and ensure smooth patient flow by communicating with clinical and clerical staff regarding service issues. Adhere to employee policy standards, cooperate with team members to achieve goals, and assist with coverage needs as requested. Full-time, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
