Associate Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary

Greet customers in person and on the phone, providing necessary instruction and direction. Obtain accurate patient information including name, address, and insurance details, then perform insurance verification on the date of service. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments as directed while maintaining an organized work queue to complete pending actions like eligibility checks. Follow payment security policies, upload valid government IDs and insurance cards, and obtain patient signatures for required documents. Prepare documentation and records with accuracy, maintain a clean workspace, and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and Lean process guidelines. Cover other offices as needed and perform other duties assigned to support the practice's financial, clinical, and service goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare experience
  • Ability to travel to both locations

  • Ability to maintain a team supportive attendance record
  • Ability to cover other offices as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working knowledge of Epic EMR software
  • Experience taking inbound and making outbound calls
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and insurance verification or Healthcare experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with a diverse team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting as directed
  • Ability to maintain good judgment and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers and clinical team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
