Job Summary
Greet visitors and patients in person while communicating via telephone or video conferencing to uphold excellent customer service. Handle confidential information appropriately and enter patient demographic and financial information to ensure full registration. Obtain applications and forms, confirming signatures and photocopying documents as needed. Provide financial responsibility information, collect liabilities, and balance the cash box daily. Work with partnering departments to complete all aspects of the patient encounter and answer incoming calls for the hospital. Meet audit accuracy standards by working worklists and error reports timely. Follow all Switchboard departmental processes and overhead codes in alignment with policy. Rotate between Sunday through Saturday shifts from 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work in the following rotating schedule, from 6:30am - 3:00pm
- Week 1: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a hospital setting
- 2+ years of scheduling experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in a medical office or emergency department
- Experience with electronic medical records system
- Knowledge of medical terminology
