Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, verify demographics and insurance in APM, and schedule appointments. Enter charges, collect payments, and manage incoming calls by answering phones, taking messages, and routing calls per policy. Document all communications and handle waiting room management to ensure efficient patient flow. Communicate service issues and complaints to clinical and clerical personnel while assisting team members with coverage needs. Adhere to employee policies and Lean processes to support financial, clinical, and service goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
