Job Summary

Greet customers into the practice and provide instruction on the phone and in person while obtaining accurate patient information, including insurance details. Perform insurance verification on the date of service, follow payment security policies, and obtain patient signatures for required documents. Schedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directed, upload valid government-issued IDs and insurance cards, and maintain an organized work queue to complete pending actions. Prepare documentation and records with accuracy, adhere to OSHA, WISHA, and HIPAA regulations, and meet established performance measures. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with hours subject to change based on business needs. Ability to travel between Edmonds and Everett locations is required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare experience
  • Ability to travel to both locations
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with a diverse team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting as directed
  • Ability to maintain good judgment and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers and clinical team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
  • Must be able to pass a drug test before beginning employment

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working knowledge of Epic EMR software
  • Experience taking inbound and making outbound calls
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and insurance verification or Healthcare experience
