Job Summary
Greet visitors and patients in person or via telephone/video, entering and updating demographic, insurance, and financial data to ensure full registration. Obtain applications and forms, confirming signatures, then photocopy or scan documents as needed. Provide financial responsibility information, collect liabilities, document amounts, and balance the cash box daily. Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards while working with partnering departments to complete all encounter aspects. Meet audit accuracy standards by working worklists and error reports timely, and maintain a safe environment by reporting environmental hazards and policy violations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Beginner level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:30am - 3:00pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Full Flu vaccination
- Candidates located in states that mandate Flu booster doses must also comply with those state requirements
- Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and patient care settings
