Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, verify demographics and insurance in APM, and schedule appointments. Enter charges, collect payments, and document all calls and messages per policy. Manage the waiting room, route incoming calls, and address service issues or complaints with clinical and clerical staff. Support team goals by floating to other areas for coverage needs and adhering to Lean processes and the Employee Policy Manual. Complete other duties as assigned to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
