Job Summary
Obtain accurate patient information, perform insurance verification, and schedule appointments while maintaining medical records and managing the front desk in-basket. Answer incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly, check patients in and out, and perform referral documentation. Adhere to Payment Security policies, Optum Employee Policies, and HIPAA requirements while working cohesively with the care team to meet financial, clinical, and service goals. Maintain a work queue list for pending actions such as tracking specialist follow-ups and ensuring continuity of care through scheduling systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience

Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working in medical front office/ Urgent Care position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
