Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, verify demographics and insurance in APM, and schedule appointments. Enter charges, collect payments, and document all calls and messages per company policy. Manage the waiting room, ensure smooth patient flow with clinical staff, and route incoming calls appropriately. Address service issues and complaints by communicating with clerical personnel. Assist co-workers with duties and float to other areas for coverage needs. Adhere to Lean processes, employee policies, and team goals while supporting the organization's vision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
