Job Summary
Greet customers in person and on the phone, directing calls and taking messages while maintaining a courteous and prompt demeanor. Obtain accurate patient information including name, address, and insurance details, then perform insurance verification and eligibility checks on the date of service. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, upload government-issued IDs and insurance cards, and obtain patient signatures for required documents. Complete pending actions on a work queue list, prepare documentation and records with accuracy, and maintain an organized work area. Adhere to Optum Medical guidelines, payment security policies, OSHA/WISHA safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations while meeting performance measures established by the Practice Management Dept.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare experience
- Ability to travel to both locations

Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working knowledge of Epic EMR software
- Experience taking inbound and making outbound calls
- 1+ years of experience working in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and insurance verification or Healthcare experience
