Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, verify demographics and insurance in APM, and schedule appointments. Enter charges, collect payments, and answer phones to route calls per policy. Document all interactions, manage waiting room processes, and ensure smooth patient flow with clinical staff. Communicate service issues and complaints to personnel, assist with coverage needs, and adhere to the Employee Policy Manual. Complete other duties as assigned. Full-time 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
