Job Summary
Clear patient identification, verify payer sources, and assess alternative payment options during pre-registration, registration, and discharge processes. Counsel patients on financial liability, arrange payment plans, and collect accurate demographic and insurance data to ensure timely reimbursement. Explain organization policies, patient financial responsibilities, and rights to patients and families. Work Sunday through Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This per diem role supports Optum's mission to improve health outcomes by connecting people with necessary care and resources.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Ability to work on the following schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
