Job Summary
Associate Patient Care Coordinator for Optum Care Delivery in NY/NJ. Responsibilities include greeting patients and families, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, planning and confirming procedure schedules, maintaining work queues for referrals and appointments, check-in/check-out, sending patient records to PCP, handling inbound calls, obtaining updated patient information and signatures, and adhering to Optum policies. Preferred experience in medical front office, EPIC EHR proficiency, knowledge of medical terms, and ability to work independently while collaborating with healthcare providers in a high-paced environment. Schedule is a 37.5-hour week with a rotating Saturday; location at NY sites with standard office hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience in Microsoft Office
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
