Job Summary
Shepherd and oversee Children's Ministry volunteers and families from nursery through 5th grade, delivering training for biblical parenting and marriage. Mobilize the congregation for global outreach by developing vision for disciple-making, supporting global workers, and leading the Global Ministries Council. Cultivate awareness of unreached peoples needs while ensuring effective stewardship through budget oversight and coordination with LifeGroups. Maintain strong communication systems between the church and global partners, providing intentional care during visits. Teach and preach as needed, participate in weekly executive and monthly elder meetings, and take assignments from leadership as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the Biblical requirements of an Elder (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9)
- consistent Christ-like character evidencing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- membership at Calvary Bible Church (CBC)
- full agreement with the CBC Constitution and Statement of Faith
- faithful attendance at CBC worship services
- support of CBC ministries
- excellent leadership skills
- excellent communication skills
- excellent relational skills
- be enthusiastic and positive
- be a team player who can take initiative while submitting to leadership
- be highly organized
- M.Div. or willingness to pursue an M.Div.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Willingness and ability to shepherd and counsel with biblical counsel-type principles (e.g. ACBC)
