Job Summary
Associate Pastor for East Region at the Tysons Corner/Vienna, VA location(s): full-time pastoral role focused on shepherding and oversight of regional church members via Church Groups, relational leadership, pastoral care, weddings/funerals, baptism, counseling, and teaching the Word of Christ; requires meeting pastoral qualifications (pastor/elder/overseer per 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, 1 Peter 5), ordination/licensure eligibility, and a Master of Divinity or equivalent preferred; responsibilities include mobilizing leaders, equipping Church Group leaders, regional communication, counseling, and occasional classroom teaching; flexible evening/weekend hours as part of church staff life.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Divinity or its equivalent preferred
- Minimum of two years of Pastoral experience in a Church setting
- Ordination or eligibility for licensure
- Ability to teach in small and large group settings
- Pastoral skills: home and hospital visitation, handling of weddings and funerals
- Basic pastoral and biblical counseling experience
- Ability to recruit and develop leaders and teams
- Commitment to a long-term pastorate
