Editor with PhD in geoscience sought to manage original research papers in solid Earth geoscience for Nature Geoscience. Responsibilities include handling manuscripts, coordinating with peer-reviewers, making editorial decisions, commissioning content such as reviews, and liaising with editors across journals; travel to conferences and research institutions is expected. Requires broad knowledge of geoscience, ability to evaluate novelty and context of submissions, excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, and willingness to travel; editorial experience is encouraged but not required.
