Job Summary

Assess and resolve product/process issues through the lifecycle by applying Boeing design principles and conducting root cause analysis for design non-conformances. Analyze technical, operational, and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutions, then communicate deviations impacting design intent and safety. Represent the engineering community in the build, participate in design reviews, and support Integrated Product Teams while ensuring supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards. Develop and implement product and process improvements, including static strength analysis and non-destructive test procedures, to ensure safe operation and maintenance. Work directly with cross-functional teams to meet production program objectives in a factory environment involving airplanes at various build stages.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Degree ABET accredited
  • 1 or more years of experience in a professional engineering role
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Desired Qualifications

  • (Mid-Level Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current or Previous Member of the Materials Review Board (MRB)
  • Previous Aerospace or Marine repair, overhaul, maintenance, and/or engineering experience
  • Experience troubleshooting complex integrated systems
  • Experience interpreting and creating strength analyses for metals and composite materials
