Associate or Experienced Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer

Associate or Experienced System Safety Engineer who will perform safety analyses for aircraft systems and software, analyze complex airplane systems and their effects, and document hazard mitigation, validation and verification in compliance with MIL-STD-882E; collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to define and validate safety requirements, participate in tests/analyses to verify safety compliance, and identify systemic root causes with corrective actions across government defense programs (e.g., F/A-18, F-15, F-22, C-17, AH-64, CH-47, KC-135, KC-46). Primary responsibilities include applying System Safety Risk Assessments, Fault-Tree Analysis (FTA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA) and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR); MBSE experience and aerospace-system knowledge preferred. Location-based roles available in Berkeley (St. Louis mix) MO or Mesa AZ; relocation is offered based on eligibility. Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years for Level 2 or 5+ years for Level 3 candidates; U.S. Person for export control; visa sponsorship not available.
