Job Summary
Lead the PM-shift team of new and experienced technicians to maximize uptime of all Operations assets during your 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM shift in the PHX market. Foster a safety-first approach, ensure adherence to Service SOPs including Work Order and Parts flow, and track technician productivity to steward limited resources. Work with Service Engineering on tooling needs, maintain accountability of all equipment, and own shift handoffs by flagging open work orders and escalations to the AM manager. Track KPIs, explain variances, and coordinate technician development to support a career path within DoorDash Labs.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in service operations, field service, or technical operations
- 2+ years leading service technicians or field teams, with ownership of performance and execution
- Strong experience with work order systems and operational KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, throughput, SLA)
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and driving results through others
- Experience scaling operations, launching new markets, or supporting infrastructure buildouts
- Valid U.S. drivers license required
- Successful completion of MVR
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, electric vehicles, aircraft, or similar complex systems (preferred)
- Mobile/field service background (preferred)
- Familiarity with service platforms like MaintainX, JIRA, or similar (preferred)
- Exposure to technical environments (diagnostics, APIs, scripting, Python, GitHub) (nice to have)
- Believe in 1% improvement every day
