Job Summary
Associate Operations Manager leads a branch operations team across engineering, project management, services, and back-office functions. Responsible for scheduling, budgeting, billing, and completion of install, service, warranty, and emergency jobs; develops budgets and meets revenue and gross margin targets; communicates with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to execute plans and processes; drives monthly cost analysis and WIP, reports financial performance, and ensures asset management including inventory and company vehicles. Builds a high-performance culture, leads manpower planning and allocation, and collaborates with sales to support branch growth and profitability; emphasizes customer satisfaction and cash collections.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years’ experience in an operations manager role within the fire and life safety industry
- Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse group of individuals, including company leadership, regional staff, customers, and vendors
- Strong, positive team builder with leadership ability
- Knowledge of current fire and life safety systems
- Strong understanding of Profit and Loss statements and key financial drivers
- Ability to attract, develop, grow, and retain a team
- Ability to understand the technical aspects of the product lines and applications as necessary to make informed management decisions
