Job Summary
Associate – Operation Risk Control - Trade & Working Capital Operations at JPMorgan Chase. The role focuses on Global Trade risk and controls with advisory support to internal partners and external clients, investigating and deciding on transaction escalations driven by sanctions, AML, export controls, fraud, and other risk drivers. Provides technical consulting on problem trade transactions and new business opportunities, identifies and monitors Global Trade transaction risk, and supports digitization/automation initiatives. Requires 12+ years in trade/risk/compliance/audit, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and expert knowledge of ICC rules (UCPDC, ISBP, URC, ISP, URR) and related SWIFT regulations; strong U.S. regulatory knowledge (BSA/AML, OFAC, Anti-Boycott, Export Controls); and demonstrated ability to influence partners and manage multiple tasks in a global team. This is an in-office Monday–Friday role with relocation assistance possibly available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in trade, risk, compliance or audit
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Extensive knowledge of trade products (import/export, standby letters of credit, documentary collections, bank to bank reimbursements, supply chain finance, trade loans, open account)
- Expert knowledge of ICC Rules (UCPDC, ISBP, URC, ISP, URR) and SWIFT 400/700 series
- Experience with U.S. regulations such as BSA/AML, OFAC, Anti-Boycott, Export Controls
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- Ability to analyze processes and influence internal partners to implement changes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
