Job Summary
Mentor nursing students throughout their academic journey by guiding academic progression, professional development, and institutional policies. Meet with students to discuss course-load adjustments, extended leaves, and course drop requests. Develop campus-specific initiatives to improve retention and graduation rates while coordinating tutoring, academic support services, and counseling resources. Oversee NCLEX preparation initiatives, track student performance outcomes, and develop individualized remediation plans for students needing additional support. Manage graduation and NCLEX preparation resources and participate in the admissions process, including applicant interviews and evaluations. Collaborate with faculty and campus leadership to foster an environment supporting both student and faculty academic growth.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in education or academic leadership
- Strong student service and mentorship skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to track student outcomes and maintain accurate records
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting nursing students and their professional development
