Job Summary

Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on the Medical & Cardiac Unit. Assist with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering. Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients. Mentor nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively. Requires current AHPRA registration, extensive acute clinical experience in medical and/or cardiac nursing, and demonstrated leadership skills. Salary of $57.44 - $59.33 plus superannuation.

Required Qualifications

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive current acute clinical experience in medical and/or cardiac nursing
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role
  • A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development
  • The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children Check
  • Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
