Job Summary
Source and maintain a pipeline of novel drug development ideas for NewCos within specific therapeutic areas. Conduct proprietary research analyzing assets across science, disease, commercial, IP, CMC, clinical development, regulatory, and valuation verticals. Write, pitch, and maintain investment notes for company ideas while building pitch decks that include recommended deal terms, clinical development plans, and financing structures. Develop deep expertise within the assigned therapeutic area by attending relevant medical, banking, and partnering conferences. Convert these ideas into NewCos with successful profit and loss outcomes. This full-time role reports to the Managing Director of New Ventures and requires a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, with an Advanced degree (MD or PhD) strongly preferred. Based in New York with 15% travel, the position targets candidates with 5+ years of biotech/pharma buy-side experience or MD/PhDs seeking a career switch.
