Job Summary
Associate Mortgage Underwriter supports the underwriting and credit decision process by reviewing all required documentation, applying due diligence, escalating issues, and ensuring accuracy of income, down payment, and property information before signing off on mortgage conditions. Builds and maintains positive relationships with mortgage brokers, insurers, appraisers, title companies, and solicitors; coordinates collection of required documents to satisfy mortgage commitment conditions; documents notes in the underwriting system; responds to inquiries within established turnaround times. Bilingual (French/English) communication is required.

- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Analytical skills
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage pressure in high-volume processing with tight turnaround times
