Job Summary
Associate Microbiology role focused on supporting development, maintenance, compliance, or research analysis activities. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining media stocks and autoclave sterilization, managing Bio ball cultures and Master cultures, preparing Cryovials, conducting microbiological testing (water analysis, Microbial Limit Test, Sterility, Endotoxin/BET, CCIT, micro challenge studies), ensuring training records are current, sampling and labeling per procedures, data interpretation for accuracy and cGMP impact, ensuring GMP/GML documentation compliance, reviewing SOPs and analytical methods, performing analyses on finished products and raw materials with data entry and EMS reporting, contributing to complex projects, and coordinating work within a team under supervision. Required MSC in microbiology/biotechnology with 4-7 years of relevant experience and knowledge of GMP/GLP; preferred experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, problem-solving, multitasking, communication, adaptability, and familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) to support problem solving and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- MSC in microbiology / biotechnology with 4-7 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated technical skills in method validation and testing (Bioburden, sterility & BET testing)
- Ability to read and understand applicable compendial methods, Standard Operating Procedures, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and its application standards, processes, and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
- Proficiency with unique Quality Control instruments to meet accuracy specifications for sample management, retains management, interpretation, and evaluation
