Job Summary
Receive and log incoming samples, verify documentation and labeling accuracy, and prepare samples for analysis following SOPs and safety protocols. Conduct microbiological analysis of cannabis flower, concentrate, and infused products while maintaining accurate chain-of-custody and sample tracking records. Perform routine data entry, basic calculations, and ancillary tasks such as reagent preparation, inventory restocking, and workspace cleaning. Support analysts with non-technical duties and cross-train on analytical assays as laboratory demand dictates. Adhere to all state regulations, laboratory SOPs, and safety procedures including PPE use. Full-time schedule; may require occasional evenings or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to work with cannabis in the state of operation
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Full-time schedule
- Ability to work occasional evenings
- Ability to work occasional weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred
- Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred
- Cannabis industry or regulated industry experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety protocols
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs accurately
