Job Summary
Respond to member inquiries by telephone and in person, including functions such as cash box management, account origination, and maintenance. Process transactions in the appropriate system, balance a cash drawer, and operate a drive-through window as needed. Evaluate daily mobile and automated teller machine check deposits, balance vaults and cash dispensers, and help verify cash delivery shipments. Troubleshoot problems with member accounts, cards, and online access, including processing disputes and reviewing negative checking reports. Begin learning to open basic accounts under supervision and assist with foreign currency orders and wire transfers. Organize, file, and scan documents daily while maintaining daily and monthly records for various reports.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess an aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust in the Credit Union
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good problem-solving skills
- Must be able to comprehend and carry out job demands
- Must be able to comprehend phone calls
- Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds
- Regular attendance and punctuality are mandatory
- Must complete the Credit Unions Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- CCUE Certification
- Associate of Arts degree or Associate of Science degree via the North Carolina Community College Transfer Program (NC-CTP)
