Job Summary
Conduct weekly chart checking, perform acceptance testing and commissioning of therapy hardware, and manage calibration and QA of therapy equipment under the direction of senior medical physicists. This Associate Medical Physicist role supports the Radiation Oncology department with specialized training in dosimetric techniques, treatment planning physics, and Linac calibration. Candidates must hold a Master's or Ph.D. in medical physics and obtain National Medical Physics Therapeutic Certification within five years of hire. IMRT QA and HDR experience are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Medical physics or related major
- Ph.D. in Medical physics or related major
- Specialized training in dosimetric techniques and physics of treatment planning and calibration of Linacs
- National Medical Physics - Therapeutic Certification - American Board of Radiology within 5 years of hire
