Job Summary

Perform radiation safety and quality assurance testing of diagnostic imaging equipment, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT, MRI, and ultrasound modalities. Prepare QA reports within two weeks of the due date and conduct occupational radiation exposure monitoring. Lead RS/QA audits and attend all departmental meetings while ensuring compliance with NYC Health Code, NYS regulations, and federal standards from the NRC and DOT. Assist the Director of Radiation Safety with implementation of the radioactive materials program and execute additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree program that is acceptable to the NYS Office of Professions
  • 3 years of experience related to your sub-specialty
  • NYS Limited Permit in one of the following Medical Physics subspecialty you are applying for: Diagnostic Radiological Physics or Nuclear Medical Physics
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
